I had the paperback size and loved it until its battery exploded. The paperback size was a bit heavy so I got the mini which is worthless. It doesn't light evenly. I can't lay it on a page and read; I have to hold it like a flashlight. Now it's back to the larger lightwedge.

This helps with reading at night, especially if I also use my night light but the page under it is neither well nor evenly lit. A lot of light comes out of the end of it so I have to be careful how I hold it when I turn a page or turn it off each time so it doesn't disturb my husband. This is a very nice, large magnifier with built-in lighting. It is comfortable to hold and the switch for the light is fairly easy to turn on and off. I've been looking for a book light for a long time. The ones I've tried in the past just don't match up to this handy gadget that my daughter told me about. I've had no trouble seeing both pages with it. I clip it to the back binding plus some pages, enough to make it stable. I like that the light adjusts to my needs and is bright enough to see, like I said, both pages of a book. The battery replaces easily with a twist of the underside battery holder. Don't try to unscrew it from the top, that's where you can make another adjustment of the light placement along with the bendable arm.

While it is very light still not light enough for a paperback. However, it is great for a hardcover in that unlike some other lights it covers both pages without adjusting. It is a bit brighter than you might expect however if you can manage to get it set jus right it won't be so bad.

I like this secondary to my pillow light and it is easier to travel with than the pillow light too, lol.

I bought this to replace an over-priced Itty Bitty Book Light Vol. 2 that died after 6 years of constant use. I found the light on this LED model to be too dim, and an ugly bluish color that was cold and depressing, like reading in a bus station bathroom. The clip did not fit between pages very well, and the stalk was too short for the dim light to shine over two full pages of a normal-sized book. The incandescent light in the IBBLv2 is bright enough and also a warmer, more pleasant tone.

This light is very very dim. I own it in green camo (the only color choice at the store where I bought it) and used it with a Sony eReader. I had to keep moving it up and down to light the top and bottom of the screen, which is smaller than a normal book's page, and the half that I was trying to read was VERY dimly lit. Save your money and get a better booklight.
