I have used so many booklights in the past that this one but this one has truly satisfied my need to try anything else. I can read in bed with very little illumination away from the page; and it lightens the whole page while holding it down. (and does not devour batteries) I absolutely love it, and have purchased most with the covers, but have also purchased some without. It's just that great a device. Of course, I gift out some to avid reader friends and family, but always keep at least 2 in my household.

The soft case for the advertised original size was shipped as a small paperbook size. Most disturbing was to find the cost printed on the box as $8.95, not $22. Permission was given to return it to Jitterbox (third shipper) but having paid a total of $53.98 for two cases ($9.98 shipping), I must also suffer a restock charge of 15%. All for a product that was advertised as the original size which we expected but did not receive. What is my recourse to blatant deception?

Twice I ordered a large soft case and twice I got the small case. There is nothing wrong with the cases themselves, but I ordered large and that is not what I got either time. I gave the small ones to my children to use with their small booklights (which came out before the soft cases were available) but I will not order another large case like this again. Amazon did offer to send a pick up ticket, but as the kids had a use for them, I declined. My husband says I'm rewarding bad behavior by keeping them, but as I said I could put them to use and the price was good. I don't know why I was sent the wrong size both times, none of my other orders for similar items was incorrect.

Please believe me when I tell you that I've had many many book lights, and most did not work well at all. I bought one of these for my sister just for laughs last year, and was quite surprised to discover that it works so well. It is bright, and the light is dispursed over the page evenly. this is such a good item to have to read at night when everyone is sleeping i saw this in the store and i was like me being a big harry potter fan i could not pass this up i bought it and i was so pleased with it the minute i got home and read that night in my bed with no light on at all only the harry potter lumos light and i tell you i was escaping deeper into the world of harry potter when i was reading all the hp books with it it made it feel more intimate and close to the story and characters and what was going on and it felt really cool to be reading in the dark and picturing all of the things that were happening in harry potter i def recommend this to everyone who is a harry potter fan like me and if you havent read harry potter well do so now.

I have had my eye on this book like for a while. I was tired of my clip on lights, falling off or only illuminating part of the page I was reading. This deeply discounted Harry Potter one fit the bill. When I received it, the juvenile packaging was a turn off. Once I got it out of the packaging, it was appealing. This fits most of my books and even the ones that it does not fit (larger paperbacks) it still works well.

I is a wonderful item. It lights up the entire page,without lighting up the whole room. Very easy to use. The Harry Potter one is the same as the original one, but 1/2 the price. Would recommend it to anyone !!! The only thing I would buy the cover for it. It can scratch easy.
