I did not realize what a fine item this is untill I recieved it, It is well made with a large viewing magnification area...And 2 triple a batteries power this thing with a very powerful LCD Bulb built into in the unit for a very long time , I have had other magifiers but they use the button watch batteries and dont give you as much light as this one. This is great to use on remotes with tiny buttons Etc........I highly reccomend it

This maginifier is great for reading small print (and there a lot of printed materials especialy instructions, which are printed in small type). The light is a great help when the lighting is poor.

This is a very nice, large magnifier with built-in lighting. It is comfortable to hold and the switch for the light is fairly easy to turn on and off. The magnification is 2x, but it has a small bubble lens that provides 4x magnification. I only wish that I could get the same product with a little more magnification on the larger lens. I also recommend it for seniors.

As a librarian, my regular duties include "reading" library shelves; that is, reading all the book labels carefully to ensure that all the books are in exact order on the shelves. Since it is not easy for me to read the labels of books on the bottommost shelves, I felt this tool would aid me in seeing the tiny numbers and letters on those items in the dim lighting at the bottom of the shelves.
I can attest to the effectiveness of this lighted magnifier in illuminating and enlarging the call numbers of the labels; it helps me greatly in accomplishing my shelf-reading task.
