Because of the figure's shape, the only non-distorted magnified image is available in the center by looking straight down. So it's not very practical to use except directly on top of the paper, and then the magnification isn't very strong.



Also it doesn't look much like a bear, but that you can kind of see from the product image.



I'm going to try this magnifier instead.

I did not realize what a fine item this is untill I recieved it, It is well made with a large viewing magnification area...And 2 triple a batteries power this thing with a very powerful LCD Bulb built into in the unit for a very long time , I have had other magifiers but they use the button watch batteries and dont give you as much light as this one. This is a very nice, large magnifier with built-in lighting. It is comfortable to hold and the switch for the light is fairly easy to turn on and off. The magnification is 2x, but it has a small bubble lens that provides 4x magnification. I only wish that I could get the same product with a little more magnification on the larger lens. I also recommend it for seniors.
