Please believe me when I tell you that I've had many many book lights, and most did not work well at all. I bought one of these for my sister just for laughs last year, and was quite surprised to discover that it works so well. It is bright, and the light is dispursed over the page evenly. Works great for car trips or bedtime reading!

this is such a good item to have to read at night when everyone is sleeping i saw this in the store and i was like me being a big harry potter fan i could not pass this up i bought it and i was so pleased with it the minute i got home and read that night in my bed with no light on at all only the harry potter lumos light and i tell you i was escaping deeper into the world of harry potter when i was reading all the hp books with it it made it feel more intimate and close to the story and characters and what was going on and it felt really cool to be reading in the dark and picturing all of the things that were happening in harry potter i def recommend this to everyone who is a harry potter fan like me and if you havent read harry potter well do so now.

I have owned two of these and both I had to throw away... the reason is that I used the the included batteries and they exploded inside the compartment shortly after I bought it. The battery acid fried the connectivity inside and made it not work very well. Sadly, it now appears to be no longer made. So if you happen to get your hands on a new one DON'T USE THE INCLUDED BATTERIES, get some fresh new ones.
